SUMMER COURSE SCADA 2026

The Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, proudly presents the Summer Course on Advances in Digital Agriculture (SCADA) in collaboration with Smart Agriculture Study Program, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Kyoto University, and Gyeongsang National University (GNU). This SCADA program offers a unique opportunity for students worldwide to explore the future of agriculture through the lens of digital innovation. Why Join SCADA 2026? Digital transformation is reshaping agriculture, enabling precision farming and smarter resource management. Participants will gain insights into cutting-edge technologies such as drones, IoT-based sensors, satellite imagery, and artificial intelligence, all of which are revolutionizing soil science and agricultural practices. The program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, ensuring that students not only understand the concepts but also apply them in real-world contexts. SCADA 2026 is delivered in a hybrid format that combines online lectures and seminars with offline practical sessions, fieldwork, excursions, and cultural activities. Students will engage in field practices such as surveying, remote sensing for agriculture, controlled environment agriculture, and carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement in rice fields. In addition, excursions will take participants to Geopark Pongkor, the Gold Museum in Nanggung, Malasari Tea Plantation, the Soil and Agriculture Museum, and the Bogor Botanical Garden. These visits offer both scientific enrichment and cultural immersion, allowing participants to better understand Indonesia’s agricultural landscapes, environmental systems, and local wisdom in land management. The entire program is equivalent to 180 learning hours (4 credits), making it a substantial academic experience that contributes to students’ international exposure and professional development. Beyond technical knowledge, SCADA 2026 also fosters global networking, cultural exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a deeper understanding of sustainable agriculture across countries. Join us in this exciting journey to discover how digital agriculture is shaping the future of food and farming. Be part of a global classroom where soil science meets smart technology, and were innovation drives sustainability. Registration is now open. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, explore, and connect with students and experts from around the world. Join SCADA 2026 and be part of the future of farming.
